She Inspires Brunch: Mill Valley California Part 1

I know this post is long over due, and I have been gathering my thoughts and words for some time. My heart is in such a great place after our trip to the San Francisco area in June, our first She Inspires Brunch out of Texas. It was simply beautiful, and what we noticed as soon as we arrived, is that God was in complete control of it all, and that was evident from the very beginning.  Our obedience walk was structured and orchestrated so perfectly as soon as we stepped off the plane in San Francisco.

It all started with a dinner the night before the event that we hosted at our Homeaway in the city. Bringing all our speakers and sponsors together over yummy dinner and chat, we also got to celebrate a 30th birthday for our friend Tarin Brown of River Raised. Our evening dinner was so amazing, it was like I already knew each one of the ladies, even though it was our first time meeting.

The next morning we got up early to get our day started to head to Mill Valley to The Hivery for setup. That morning I was reminded that God is so faithful and so intentional, down to a simple parking spot in the city. Seriously we didn't  have to worry about anything.  I was also reminded that God is molding leaders to walk out all that he has called them to do and not hesitate. We as women are led through our creativity and wisdom to do amazing things, and that morning God was clear in letting me know that leadership is a calling and leading with creativity and faith brings a following of sheep to raise up..

"WHEN GOD LEADS YOU TO DO, YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING"

As soon as I walked into The Hivery I knew it was the place that God had put in my heart, that place full of light, full of white, refreshing and pure. I knew that every woman that set foot in that space would be at peace for the day, and be open to letting God speak to them and a sweet, sweet way as we gathered

Inspired By Minted: Blooms Brunch Table

A couple of months ago, I found myself in a cute little courtyard of one of my favorite restaurants, El Monumento  with two lovelies in the event industry, flowers by Mercedez with The Heirloom Table and beautiful photography by Angie of Angela Lally Photography.

We set up a beautiful brunch table full of fruit, colorful florals and pretty detail, bursting with delight and sunshine.  Setting the table for Brunch in a fun creative way is always a fun way to celebrate the season. It all started with inspiration from the lovely Minted Blooms Invitation suite.  We were inspired by the bold colors, florals, and overall beauty of the invite.

The talented Heirloom Table, pulled out the loveliest blooms to highlight every element of this setting, using coral charm peonies, poppies, daffodils, sweet peas, and garden roses. The idea of bringing fruit accents and simple gold touches tied in nicely with all the pops of color and greenery. Starting with a very soft blush silk fabric and then layering from there, we accented the blooms, by adding texture through lemons, pears, grapefruit, and one of our favorites; pineapples.  The fruit brought such depth and volume to this tablescape, adding that extra layer of lovely.  We also paired a set of pink vintage plates for simple yet soft perfection, and added a more modern gold-ware to kick things up a notch, along with antique brass candle holders.  We then kept the glassware simple with a more modern style water glass paired with a vintage wine glass.

I don’t know about you but I could get use to sitting under the sunshine enjoying yummy Brunch at this table.

Yes You Can...

Happy Monday Lovelies,

Hope your week is off to a great start.

Coffee & Words: Walk It Out

You ever feel that push and urge to get started on something that God has embedded deep into your heart?  That feeling that you get about that thing is so vibrant and so constant, you go to sleep with it, you wake up with it. It's almost like, it becomes a part of you, in so many ways.

Well that's how She Inspires started, it was that thing that God put in my heart at 2:00am one morning in 2011, and at the time I wasn't sure what it meant, nor did I know how it would change my life, years later. She Inspires was that thing that hung on, and felt so good and I wanted more.

When God puts something in our heart, it's so precious and so fulfilling and can even by a little scary at first.

I recently had a conversation with a couple of friends, and this question came up, "How do we know it's God putting an idea in our heart, and it's not us wanting to bring an idea to life on our own?"  When it's a God dream you can feel it, it want go away, it becomes a thing that you think of daily. It's almost like it's nagging at you, kinda like a pile of laundry, and you know you have to get to it.  It's up to us to walk that thing out.

To walk out that thing that God put in your heart, sometimes means being still and waiting on his timing to bring it to life, it also means, walking it out with confidence and obedience. It's a faith walk, and that faith walk can sometimes cause you to dance in a circle, but there is nothing like walking it out.

So whatever that thing is that you are holding onto and afraid to step out on, pray and ask God for complete direction and guidance. IT'S TIME TO WALK IT OUT FOR HIM!!

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Psalm 119:105

You Are BRAVE

Happy Monday Lovely!!
You are brave, you are bold, you are courageous! Continue to give it your all!
