When I received this beautiful rug a couple of weeks ago from Wayfair, I wasn't sure what look it would give my dining space. I just knew I wanted something different to make a statement in the space and to compliment my farm table and wallpaper design.
My dining room needed a little something to mix things up and add some drama, without being overpowering. The dark navy blue, light creams, and hint of gray and brown, really add a nice old world vibe to the space. This rug is very soft, I do recommend adding a rug pad to give a little extra cushion, the colors are very rich and really compliment the dark wood flooring. I'm still not sure if this is the look I'm going for in the space, but I star at it for a couple of more weeks and decide...
All the rich color hues compliment my gray tones throughout really well.

Since it is Black History month, I will be posting quotes from some of my favorite public figures for the rest of the month.. Maya Angelou is one of my favorite authors and such an inspiration to many.
My heart is so full as I announce the date for the next She Inspires Creative Brunch!! What a time to be had, kicking off the Spring on March 5th, 2016 with a few fabulous women that are dreamers, doers and hesitators(is that a word) all in one.
See sometimes we think we know what we are suppose to be doing in life and we attempt to take that leap of faith, but then the doubt creeps in, and "BAM" the hesitation sets us up for the stand still... I am a firm believer in PURPOSE and that God has a purpose for each one of us. He wants us to strive for the best, he wants us to be the best, and he wants us to have the best.. He wants us to LIVE THE LIFE WE WERE MEANT TO LIVE...
