Coffee & Words: Give God Control

Why are you trying to work it all out on your own? Why? Running after people that don't even belong in your life, trying to seek things that are not even worth having, trying to live the life that God doesn't have planned for you. 

As women we are always trying to figure things out on our own and we get nothing accomplished from it. If, anything it just takes you steps back from where God is trying to take you and wears you down in the process. That word, "Control" weighs us down, we want to have it when we want it, we want it planned out accordingly, and at the same time we want God to lead.

God said he gives us the desires of our heart, so why can't you just pray over things and let him lead. You are probably thinking,  "it's not that easy". You are right,  It's not easy at times, but it definitely does make for a Faith walk full of happy.

There was a time in my life just a couple of years ago, where I was holding on to something in my life that didn't belong. The crazy thing is, I knew it wasn't meant to be, but I had this idea in my head that I could make it work. God spoke to me and said, "It's time to let go, it's not worth it." What I was holding onto was bringing me so much confusion and strife.  I just had to be obedient, and when I let go, it was like a load of bricks lifted off my shoulders. During that time the devil was trying to plant all kinds of things in my head, and to be honest, I would let him get the best of me. All it took is the one day that I made it up in mind to really give it to God and let him remove what really didn't belong in the first place. 

God truly knows what's best for us, and his timing is always perfect. The people he places in your life is for the best, the relationships that are not suppose to be, let them go. Remember it's okay to let go of the things that don't belong, it's for the best in this season of your life. Let God Be In Control. Say peace out to that thing that you know you need to let GO of!!! 


He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10

Little Bit Of My Family

We actually did our own family photos last month, and I must say it always makes for a less stressful experience for my boys and the hubby.  We went to visit my sister and her family in November in Conroe TX, and decided to have my niece snap a few shots(she did an awesome job). Then I returned the favor and snapped a few of my sister and her family. They have the perfect property for a photo shoot and I just love visiting any time of the year. My little escape with my little family. 

I don't ever want to pretend to be a photographer, because I have such talented photographer friends, but sometimes we have to do what works in that moment, right?

Thought I would finally share a few... 

Coffee & Words: Don't Settle

When you pray and ask God to give you wisdom and direction through it all, and he opens the door for you to walk right in. Why would you then question how big that platform looks and talk yourself out of standing in the greatness before you?  Why do you feel like you need to settle for something less exciting, less adventurous, less thinking, less fearful? Why do you feel like when it's right in front of you, you can't handle it?  

God doesn't want you to settle for just anything, he wants you to have greatness, as you walk in BIG faith in him.  He wants to give you the desires of your heart, and as he brings that desire to life, he wants you to lean on him to give you the strength and wisdom to not settle along the way.  He aligns all the right things, people, and  tools, to not have to settle for less. 

Galatians 6:9 reads; Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

So, why settle for the least amazing thing, when you can have the BEST.  Instead let him bring all the wonderful that he promises you and let him lead you to the TOP.

Coffee & Words: YOU ARE CAPABLE

Why are you sitting around waiting for the right thing to happen in your life,  when you know the time is now. The time is now to live the life that you are called to live, the time is now to rise up and be all that you are called to be, the time is now to be BOLD! 

Do you feel like you can't do it, because you were told by someone you can't; do you feel like you are not smart enough, not skinny enough, not the right shade, not pretty enough , not enough friends, hair is to short or finances don't make sense. Are you sitting around waiting for everything to line up the way you think it should?

Well I'm here to tell you, it won't get done if you keep talking yourself out of it!  Get off you butt and go do it! If God put the vision in you, what makes you think you aren't capable of getting it done. If you know that you are suppose to be walking towards that great thing that you are dreaming about each day, and that thing that makes you smile to even just think about. Then why aren't you praying over it and asking God for the next steps, why are you sitting on it like it's going to just happen on it's own?

It's time to rise up and do great things! You are capable, because God says you are!
