Coffee & Words: Rejection, WHAT?

How often do you feel like you are not enough and beat yourself up because of rejection?  Rejection causes fear and lack of confidence, and a feeling of not knowing who you are, or what you stand for, a lack of purpose and motivation.

Rejection in your marriage, rejection in that new job, rejection in buying that new house, rejection in your career,  rejection in relationships that you have built for years.

What does God say about rejection?

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Psalm 34: 17-20

Guess what?  Things are going to be okay!! God will never reject you, he will never leave you nor forsake you. So be bold in knowing who you are, and know that God has bigger and better! You are worth so much more!

Your worth doesn't come through what people think of you, but what God thinks of you,  your purpose in him,  and how you live your life or how you seek to know yourself in him.  He knows what's best for you and he knows the answers to all your struggles.  You are so worthy of all that God has for you!!!

COFFEE & WORDS: A Seat At The Table

That day you look in the mirror and feel lonely and unwanted. You are caught up in your own selfish thinking and can't seem to shake it.  The thought of not being included in that girl’s night out or you totally just recognized your close friend didn't invite you over for dinner, but another friend got an invite. You sit in that uneasy feeling of pity and feeling left out yet again.

Why does it even matter?  Why does it consume you so much when you wouldn't have gone anyway? You would've made all the excuses to why you didn't want to go and would’ve caused anxiety to set in for even thinking about it.  Not only that you probably really want to be home curled up on your comfortable sofa watching a movie.  Especially since you had a jammed pack week with work, taking the kids to practices or just exhausted from not getting enough sleep with so much on your mind.

Having a seat at the table, doesn't always mean you know how it looks, and you always know the person seated next to you.

That seat sometimes means sitting with new people, meeting someone at the coffee shop that you don’t even know and letting them vent and tell you their whole life story.

A seat at the table sometimes means sitting alone, until God brings the right tribe to sit with you.

A seat at the table sometimes means it’s just you and God, discussing how you need to be more present with him.

A seat at the table sometimes means you need to walk out of your comfort zone, and travel alone and next next to a stranger on the plane and share the love of God with her.

Sometimes a seat at the table means inviting the right people into your home and loving them well.

Sometimes a seat at the table means you are the one that supposed to be hosting.

You have to be reminded you are not alone, you aren’t the only one that feels left out, you aren’t the only one struggling, you aren’t the only one feeling lost and defeated, and you also have to recognize that God may be calling you to raise up and set the table, and be that movement of LIGHT for him.

Be the movement that leads people to the table and stop always waiting for the invite.

Luke 14:8-10

8 “When someone invites you to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been invited. 9 If so, the host who invited both of you will come and say to you, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Then, humiliated, you will have to take the least important place. 10 But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all the other guests.

Coffee & Words: Be Confident

Do you find yourself doubting everything that you do, and everything that comes your way?  Do you feel like you can't make a decision on anything and your self esteem and confidence is always at a struggle.   Are you ready for change, ready for growth, ready to live out your purpose and completely trust the path that God has you on?

God wants to take you there, he's ready to give you a clear picture of what your purpose looks like, and a sense of knowing and fulfillment that comes with seeking him.   It's totally up to you to take those next steps and follow what he has laid out for you.  To take those next steps means to completely trust him and all that he wants to do in your life, you have to put one foot in front of the other and let him bring peace and discernment in your walk.

With that trust, comes confidence in your walk with him.

BE CONFIDENT, BE BOLD, HAVE FAITH. SEEK MORE OF HIM, GET in the word, lift him up more....

HUMBLE YOURSELF BEFORE THE LORD & HE WILL LIFT YOU UP. -- James 4:10

She Inspires Fall Brunch 2017-Pt. 2

Well here we go already digging into the second week of 2018 and I am finally putting up more photos from our Fall Brunch at one of our favorite venue. The Grove in Round Rock, TX.

 HAPPY New YEAR LOVELIES!!

This brunch was definitely full of color and lots of floral details and we can't get enough!!  Thanks to the fabulous Rooted Trumpet photography for the amazing photo.

We had the most amazing time coming together with so many lovelies and just escaping from the everyday chaos for the morning and enjoying brunch,  encouragement, prayer and a little shopping!   God truly reveals so much to us when we stop and give ourselves the time needed to reflect and let go of all the things that way us down..
